It is that time again – to visit the apple orchard. And so we did; two busloads of women who enjoy each others company and who enjoy all the fun and excitement offered each year at the Mercier Orchards during this beautiful harvest season. The farm is nestled in the North Georgia Mountains near Blue Ridge. Open all year, it is family owned and very well operated. There are so many things to do; pick the apples yourself or visit the market store where you’ll find a bakery, deli, winery, and so much more. The specialty farm items they grow include strawberries, cherries, blueberries, peaches, plums, nectarines, and apples! The apple cider, fried pies, and apple butter are just a few shopping favorites. Definitely suggest a visit to the largest apple orchard in the southeast.
