Had a marvelous time today with my husband visiting High Falls State Park. It is one of Georgia’s beautiful parks where visitors can experience the pristine falls among the rousing southern landscape. We started our day trip early this Saturday morning, enjoying the drive while anticipating the wonder of what the park has to offer. While we have visited the park several times before, we’re still always in awe of its beauty. Located near the town of Jackson, Georgia, the park is known for having the largest waterfall in middle Georgia, and a 650-acre lake. By-the-way, the park spreads over a thousand acres with so much to see and do. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of camping sites, picnic shelters, miniature golf, a swimming pool, and hiking trails. Our favorite is simply standing and appreciating the magnificent 135 feet cascading waterfalls. Definitely suggest a visit. You’ll most likely fall in love with nature at its best.
Had an amazing time recently at Indian Springs State Park with my husband. The scenery, especially at this time of year, is breathtaking. Located in middle Georgia, we enjoyed the lovely springs…so captivating and tranquil. Visitors can actually sample the spring water. The park also offers cottages, camping, swimming, fishing, boating, nature trail, miniature golf, and areas for picnicking. While there, a must visit is the museum which highlights the area – especially the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Definitely suggest a visit.
